We are an open platform of peacemakers from around the world
We are a non-profit peace-building and international-cultural organization based in Nepal that promotes mutual understanding between nations through intercultural dialogue programs.
We organize peace and culture-exchange related events around the globe.
"Artist Exchange Program for World Peace Harmony" (AEPfWPH) supports visual artists and art professionals to travel to international residencies and also exhibit their work internationally. The proceeds from these exhibitions will go into building "World Peace Memorial Sculpture Garden" in Lumbini, Nepal.
We implement our programs through a global network of Lumbini World Peace Ambassadors. Lumbini World Peace Ambassadors bring together creative ideas and offer new approaches and opportunities to build peace.
We are based in Kathmandu and Lumbini region of Nepal.
Lumbini World Peace Forum was initially conceptualized by a group of young people from diverse professional background from Nepal back in 2011 with an intent to promote Nepal as a hub of world peace, we were officially institutionalized in 2015. To ensure better global network of peace activists and peace initiatives, we aim to establish Lumbini World Peace Forum chapters in all regions of Nepal, in South Asia, the south-east Asian region and North America before 2018.
Our vision is to grow and cultivate awareness for peace in our own lives as well as the lives of everyone on the planet.
Lumbini World Peace Forum is dedicated to promoting peace and social justice through creativity, arts, innovation, cross-cultural dialogue and environmentalism. This is achieved by means of workshops, publications, projects, conferences, exhibitions and virtual activities by which we carry the message of peace into daily life.
